An outstanding player and coach at Syracuse University, John was a 1979 All-American defenseman, team captain of the Orange, and led the Orange to their first NCAA tournament. Following graduation, he became Roy Simmons Jr.’s assistant and has been instrumental in S.U.’s phenomenal lacrosse success – 205 wins, 38 losses, NCAA tournament 16 times in 17 years, and winner of six national championships.
