Bridget Marquardt
For more than a decade, Bridget Marquardt has defined excellence in New York high school girls’ lacrosse. Through discipline, vision, and unwavering commitment to her athletes, she has built one of the most successful and respected programs in the state — and a legacy worthy of the highest recognition.
A Championship Legacy at Skaneateles
Over thirteen seasons as head coach of the Skaneateles Girls High School Lacrosse team, Marquardt guided the Lakers to an extraordinary 246–48 overall record. Her teams consistently rose to the biggest moments, earning three New York State Championships and appearing in the Section III title game thirteen times. Along the way, the program captured nine sectional championships, six regional championships, and seven regional titles, cementing Skaneateles as a perennial powerhouse.
Marquardt’s excellence has been recognized repeatedly by her peers. She has been named League Coach of the Year six times, earned All–Central New York Coach of the Year honors twice, and in 2013 received national recognition as the National Federation Region Coach of the Year. These honors reflect not just wins and trophies, but the respect she commands throughout the lacrosse community.
Equally impressive is the impact Marquardt has had on her players beyond the field. Under her leadership, fifty athletes earned Academic All-American honors, while ten players achieved Lacrosse All-American status. Her program has consistently emphasized accountability, academic achievement, and personal growth — values that prepare athletes for success long after their final whistle.
Before her historic tenure at Skaneateles, Marquardt taught at Auburn High School, where she coached basketball, lacrosse, and field hockey. There, she led the field hockey program to the Sectional Championship game for the first time in school history, further establishing her ability to elevate programs and inspire athletes across multiple sports. She also broke new ground by coaching the first girls’ ice hockey team at Skaneateles, demonstrating her commitment to expanding opportunities for female athletes.
At every stop, Bridget Marquardt has left programs stronger, cultures healthier, and athletes better prepared for life. Her career is marked not only by championships but by leadership, integrity, and a lasting influence on girls’ athletics in Central New York.
Bridget and her husband, Bill, reside in Skaneateles with their three children, continuing to be deeply rooted in the community she has helped shape through sport.
Her record speaks loudly. Her influence speaks even louder. Bridget Marquardt’s legacy stands among the very best in high school athletics.
