A novelist could not do much better for a fictional lacrosse player than Syracusan Brad Kotz has done for himself in the real world of the game. He was a star in high school, in college and as a pro.

Kotz played for West Genesee where he started for three years under coach Mike Messere. In 1979 he was second team All-League. His junior year he made first team, and as a senior, he was selected to the All-American squad. He captained the Wildcats and was names his school’s Outstanding Senior Athlete.

At Syracuse University Brad was names All-American all four years. Following graduation in 1985 Brad played on the USA World Team in 1986 and 1990. As a professional, Brad played in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League from 1987 to 1991, first for Washington then for Philadelphia. He made first team All-Pro in 1990.
