Demo graduated in 1985 from Fayetteville-Manlius HS, and played lacrosse under Tom Hall and Basketball under Walt Munze. He earned all-county honors and played in the HS senior North-South lacrosse game. He attended Mercersburg Academy as a PG in 1986 and played lacrosse, and basketball, and ran cross country.

Hobart 1987-1990

Playing lacrosse for the legendary lacrosse coach Dave Urick. As a Midfielder for the Statesmen, they won 4 National Championships and he was honored as a Two-Time First-Team All-American in 89 and 90 and Mid-Fielder of the year in 90 playing in the North-South senior game.

He also played Basketball for 4 years at Hobart, was MVP and captain his senior year, and was a two-time All-ICAC selection. He still has a few spots in the record books. Earned 1990 Babe Kraus award given as the highest honor to a Hobart athlete. More recently a 2008 Hobart Hall of Fame Inductee.

Coached Arizona State lacrosse club in 91 and 92 earning coach of the year in 91. Continued to play lacrosse with the Phoenix lacrosse club and Brine team out of California. Moved to Atlanta in 94 and played with the Atlanta Lacrosse Club. He was a founding member of the Southern Empire Lacrosse Club, which he continues to play for, winning many championships over the years.

Coached youth and High school lacrosse as his kids grew up. He also regularly attends the Vail, Lake Placid, and Florida men’s tournaments and has only briefly stopped playing since college if an injury has sidelined him. Most recently won the 55+ Championship bracket at 2022 placid a few months back on the Harley team earning MVP honors.

Demo currently lives in Suwanee, GA, with his wife Beth of 29 years, who he’s dated since HS, and has three grown children Sarah, Matthew, and Joey. Professionally Michael has owned his own business for 25+ years in the furniture rental business and also develops industrial commercial real estate.
