Michael Buzzell

Mike was an outstanding lacrosse player at West Genesee High School and for the U.S. Naval Academy.

A 1976 graduate of West Genesee, Mike had an incredible senior year. He was first team All-American, made All-County, was league scoring champ (121 points), team captain and team MVP.

College was nearly a mirror image of his scholastic career. At Navy he made All-American all three years, 1978 though 1980, was team captain his senior year, high scorer in 1978 (78) and 1979 (85) and once scored thirteen points in a game. He played on three NCAA semi-finalist teams and won a host of Naval Academy academic and leadership honors.

His naval career included a stint as a F/A18 fighter pilot, a Top Gun graduate and over 2500 hours flying Navy jets. He retired with the rank of Commander and is now a pilot for Fedex. He is married and has four children.
